Hear The Wind Howl

And see it, too! Here was our back yard, as soon as I could get outside without getting blown down the street.

And, to give you an idea of what a windy afternoon it was, get a load of this:

I realize this scenario wasn’t half as bad as other parts of the state and country, but it was impressive enough!

  1. I was in highschool there during Hurricane Gloria (1985) and it was pretty intense with all those trees around. We didn’t have much of a fall foliage season because the wind had removed most of the leaves from the trees.

    1. Yes, we’re fine. The power outage lasted just long enough to make us realize how much we take these amenities for granted. I was never so happy to turn on a light!
