State arts funding makes a U-Turn!

Yes! Way to go, Massachusetts!

Today, the Massachusetts Senate passed a budget amendment to fund the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) at $14 million. Your advocacy has set up arts funding to pull a U-turn in the state budget – effectively turning a 16% cut in the House to a 16% increase in the Senate. The Senate’s vote on the MCC amendment gives us strong footing going into the final stages of the state budget process.

Thank you to all the arts and cultural leaders and supporters that reached out to your legislators asking them to make arts funding a priority.

Since January, your advocacy hasn’t gone unnoticed by the State House:
